Founded in 1902 by Italian immigrant Nicola Catena, Catena Zapata is one of Argentina's most iconic and respected wineries. Led by the fourth generation, Laura Catena and winemaker Alejandro Vigil, the winery pioneered the exploration of high-altitude viticulture in Mendoza. Its scientific approach, through the Catena Wine Institute, has been fundamental to understanding terroir and has positioned Argentina on the world map of high-quality wines.
